PRONE COMPETITIONS
There are a plethora of competitions available to shooters. Entry forms go out twice a year, in February for the Summer Season, and in July for the Winter comps.
Most of the competitions are handicapped meaning that you'll be placed in a league with others of similar average, so there's something for everyone.
WINTER
October
Ham Trophy
4 x 10 spot cards, 40 shots h/c for medal, scratch for trophy
Marksman Cup
Same 4 cards then scored with 0.25” gauge for scratch trophy
November
Bullseye Trophy:
5 x 10 spot cards, of which first 4 shot normally
Card 5, two shots per diagram
Cards 3, 4 and 5 for trophy, cards 1-4 for h/c medal
December
Winter Trophy:
4 x 10 spot cards deliberate,
cards 5 & 6 self start (ie you write the score you intend to hit before shooting), minimum start 5 off
Cards 1-4 for h/c medal
January
Petersham Cup
4 x 10 cards deliberate,
cards 5 & 6 rapid (90 secs per card)
Cards 1-4 for h/c medal
Cards 3-6 for trophy
February
Spring Trophy:
4 x 10 cards deliberate,
cards 5 & 6 10s scored as 9s, 9s scored as 10s; other rings as normal
Cards 1-4 for h/c medal
Cards 3-6 for trophy
March
Short Range Championship:
4 x 10 spot cards deliberate
scratch for Stuart Trophy
h/c for Alexandra Cup
SUMMER
September
Long Range Championship
Double Dewar (40 shots at 50yds, 40 shots at 100yds)
