OUTDOOR RANGES

The club has a total of six outdoor ranges providing for the large variety of shooting available. Using calibres ranging for .22 up to pistol calibres such as .44 magnum, .38 special and black powder pistol shooting.

25 metre (Lord Mancroft Range)
Also known as the back 25, this range is equipped with 10 targets on modern electronic “turners” which can be programmed to “face” the targets to create almost any course of fire.

50 yard (Lord Sudely Range)
This range provides 20 positions for .22 and pistol calibre shooting at static targets.

​

25 yard (Earl Dysart Range)
This range provides 15 positions for .22 and air rifle shooting at static targets.  A further 11 positions are available to the right of the range at 20 yards which are used by the junior section of the club.

25 metre (Hubble Range)
This range provides 6 positions and although it is cleared for .22 and pistol calibre shooting it is most commonly used for black powder pistol shooting.  Like the “back 25” it also has electronic turning targets which can be programmed to provide almost any course of fire.

50 metre (Yates Range)
Known as the back 50, this range provides room for air rifle “Hunter Field Target” shooting and Shotgun clay shooting.

​

100 yards (Lord Roberts Range)
This range provides 15 positions for prone .22 and air rifle shooting, although it is more commonly used partly as a car park, and partly for archery at varying distances up to 80 yards.
