Each of the round families Competitionrises a number of rounds covering most distances. For example: a New National (4 doz at 100 yards and 2 doz at 80 yards) down to a Short Junior National (4 doz at 30 yards and 2 doz at 20 yards).

The number of arrows at each distance stays the same. However, the distances themselves change. See the notice board for the full list of rounds and their distances.

On the metric rounds the size of the target faces varies from 122cm to 80cm (or a combination of both). Either face is 10-zone scoring.
