Rules of the Competition

| Pistol | Any muzzle loading pistol/revolver. Any propellant may be used provided the firearm is appropriately proofed | |
| Target | 2 x PL7 | |
| Style | Strong hand only. (One
handed.) Cock with weak hand. |

| Sighting Shots | 5 sighting shots allowed in 10 minutes, after loading. | |
| Practice 1 at 25 yards | 10 shots, precision. 5 shots in 10 minutes Reload. 5 shots in 10 minutes. |
|
| Practice 2 at 25 yards | Rapid Fire
(Duelling) Target will make 5 appearances of 3 seconds, 1 shot will be delivered on each appearance. Away time will be 7 seconds. Reload Repeat series. |

| Propellant | Black Powder or Pyrodex (or equivalent). Nitro permitted if gun proofed. | |
| Misfires | No allowance for misfires. |
