The Rules of the M.L.A.G.B. Black Powder Pistol Competition
There are 2 classes, one for single shot pistols (flintlock or percussion) and one for multishot pistols.
Members are allowed a maximum of one entry in each class.

| Capping off | Capping off is allowed prior to shooting at the target. An aimed warming or fouling shot into the butt will also be allowed. | |
| Shots | 13 shots (Best 10 to score) | |
| Target | 1 x PL7 | |
| Style | Strong hand, one hand only. | |
| Score | ex 100 | |
| Course of Fire | Revolver etc. 5 shots - 5 shots - 3shots | |
| Distance | 25m | |
| Time | 30 minutes including re-loading | |
| Scoring | Shots must be 50% or more across the line to score the higher value/count in. |
