The Rules of the M.L.A.G.B. Black Powder Pistol Competition



There are 2 classes, one for single shot pistols (flintlock or percussion) and one for multishot pistols.

Members are allowed a maximum of one entry in each class.

Weapon   Any Muzzle Loading Pistol
Single Shot Class   One entry only with either flintlock or percussion, rifled or smooth bore
Multishot Class   One entry only with any multishot pistol
Propellant   Any propellant allowed if the pistol is appropriately proofed
Sighters   nil
Capping off   Capping off is allowed prior to shooting at the target. An aimed warming or fouling shot into the butt will also be allowed.
Shots   13 shots (Best 10 to score)
Target   1 x PL7
Style   Strong hand, one hand only.
Score   ex 100
Course of Fire   Revolver etc. 5 shots - 5 shots - 3shots
Distance   25m
Time   30 minutes including re-loading
Scoring   Shots must be 50% or more across the line to score the higher value/count in.
