Date

  To take place second Wednesday of each month.
Entries to be posted on board for early/late squadding by the previous Friday.
Pistol   Overall weight: 1500 gms with all accessories Trigger weight: 500 gms min. Dimensions 420 X 200 X 50 (up to 1 mm allowance each dimension) If 5 shot magazine, one pellet loaded only, or use single pellet magazine.
All equipment used must comply with ISSF regulations.
Targets   Air 4/89
(12 + 4 sighters, men: 10 + 4 sighters, Women/Juniors)
Location   10m Indoor Airgun Range.
This match would mean "locking-out" other air pistol or rifle shooters because of the nature of the event.
Squadding   First detail: 7.20 pm Second detail: 9.20 pm
Max 6 competitors per detail.
Course of Fire   Men: 60 shots, 1 hour 45 minutes
Women/Junior: 40 shots, 1 hour 15 minutes. (Women may choose to shoot as above)
ISSF rules specify 1 shot per target. (Local rules also to allow for 5 shots per target, saves targets, cheaper!)
Sighting series   Sighters: Only after the command "Start". Unlimited, but 4 sighting targets maximum, competitors provide own targets. No more sighters allowed once first competition shot fired.
Match Timings   10 mins prep time. Can dry fire and hold etc. during prep. Ends on command "Preparation time has ended, shooters to the line." Competition begins on the command "Start". Sighting shots (unlimited) on own targets Once first competition shot…no more sighters. Dry fire is allowed. Competition ends on command "Stop" or sooner if all shooters finished.
Bay Allocation   Bays allocated on first come basis. With exception of disabled shooter bay. No entry after match has begun.
Post Match   Targets to be left in a box after shooting, to be scored. Competitors write name on targets and number the series 1 to 12. Scores will contribute to "rolling" average for use in NSRA away matches International visits, and Club champs.
Cost   Cost to be "cost of targets" = 60p
Results   Scratch and handicap scores and updated averages published on (members) website and posted on board by following weekend.
Other Rules   Interruptions, including propellant changes: If a shooter releases the propelling charge during the preparation period they must be given a Warning for the first violation and a Deduction of two (2) points from the first competition series for the second and subsequent violations. Any release of the propelling charge, after the first competition target is in place, without the pellet hitting the target, whether a pellet has been loaded or not, will be scored as a miss.
Dry firing without release of the propelling charge is permitted except during Finals. If a shooter wishes to change their gas or air cylinder they must leave the firing point to do so (permission must be obtained).
Extra time. If a shooter must stop firing for more than three (3) minutes through no fault of their own, they may demand extra time equal to the amount of time lost or the time remaining plus one (1) minute, if during the last few minutes of the competition. No extra time will be allowed to compensate for time lost by a shooter who leaves the firing point to change or to fill their gas or air cylinder (permission must be obtained). See also above.If a shooter is interrupted for more than five (5) minutes, or moved to another firing point, they may have additional unlimited sighting shots at one sighting target at the beginning of their remaining shooting time together with any time extensions granted.
RO: Range Officer will run competition, and may also compete. Under normal circumstance RO will be Airgun Captain, or someone nominated by AC.
Purpose: Acquaints shooters with competition conditions. Develops "team" spirit and contributes to development of Club team. Allows for weak areas of technique to be identified and rectified.
