Rules of the Competition

Targets   2 Reduced Figure 11s (Service)
Firearms   Any .22 Action Rifle
Sights   Iron and Optical
Ready Position   Stage 2 and between exposures as described in the General Rules. Stages 1, 3 and 4 rifle at trail (waist level, barrel horizontal and held in weak hand). All stages rifle should be loaded but not made ready.
Course of Fire   Phoenix A
Stage One   25 metres load up to 10 rounds. Targets will turn away for 10 secs, as they do so competitors should adopt the kneeling position and make ready (rack and take aim). Targets will then face for 10 secs, 5 rounds to be shot at the left-hand target. Targets will then turn away for 10 secs, as they do so competitors should apply safeties or ensure they have the hammer down on an empty round, adopt the sitting position and make ready (rack and take aim). Targets will then face for 10 secs, 5 rounds to be shot on the right-hand target.
Stage Two   25m. Tagets will make one exposure of one second. Competitors should advance to the 20m line and make ready. Targets will then make 5 appearances of 3 secs, 2 rounds to be shot at each appearance.
Stage Three   20 metres load up to 10 rounds. The targets will make one appearance of 10 secs, competitors will move forward to the 15 metre line, make ready and fire one round on each target. The targets will then make 4 appearances of 3 secs, 1 round to be fired on each target.
Stage Four   15 metres load up to 10 rounds. The targets will make one appearance of 10 secs, competitors will move forward to the 10 metre line, make ready and open fire. The targets will then make 2 more appearances of 5 secs. When completed there should be 5 rounds on each target.
Total Shoot   40
Rules   As described in the General Rules. Return to 45 degrees between exposures.
Tie Break   As described in the General Rules.
