We have been requested to gather the following information as part of the pre-registration process for each Guest morning. Please note that the form below needs to be completed by 4pm Wednesday prior to the Guest morning (Sunday) and for each person planning to attend the Guest morning. Please also note you will not be able to participate without a completing the form below. Pre-registration is required for every visit.
Please fill out the form correctly as any incorrect information will mean you will not be able to participate on the day chosen.
We have arranged a time with the Police for showing people who are not members (guests) around our club and allow them to experience shooting. This is normally on the morning of the first Sunday of each month from 9:30 to 13:00. If a first Sunday falls on a bank holiday then please check the main page of the website and/or the club calendar page for confirmation of opening times. Please see above for pre-registation.
Registered guests will be able to try Archery, Black Powder Pistols, Air Rifles, Air Pistols , .38 Gallery Rifles (cowboy style underlevers) and .22 calibre rifles. Please note it is only on a Guest Day that visitors are allowed to shoot at the club.
Please also note that on guest mornings people are not able to bring and/or sight their own rifles, nor are non-members with FACs able to shoot their own firearms on the ranges. It is recommend to wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Please arrive for 10.00 a.m. If you arrive later than 11:00 you may not be able to shoot.
On guest mornings there are 2 tours to show guests around the club and the ranges, which are at 10:30 and at 11:30. Please go to the club house at the above times to join the tour.
All the supervisors and helpers on these days are volunteers. We can only accommodate a limited number of visitors, particularly for some disciplines which may take longer therefore we recommend an early arrival and you may have to wait a little to take your turn.
A guest visit will cost £20 for registration and insurance and then ammunition charges, depending what you you wish to shoot which are (all targets are supplied free):
£3.00 – Air Rifle (Hunter Field Target)
£3.00 – Air Pistol (20 rounds)
£3.00 – Archery (18 arrows)
£3.00 – .22 Rifle (20 rounds)
£6.00 – Black Powder Revolver (6 rounds)
£8.00 – .38 Underlever Rifle (20 rounds)
For directions of how to find the club click here.
Children are able to attend guest mornings but must be supervised by an adult at all times! They should be ideally 11 years old, and/or be deemed by the club strong enough to hold a rifle safely. Children under the age of 10 will not be able to practice archery.
You can also visit the club any other day during opening times and ask for a tour of our facilities and to discuss membership, but we are not able to guarantee that a committee member is always available. The first Sunday morning of the months is however devoted to Guests.
On arrival, please come to the clubhouse, where you will be asked to sign in, pay for your insurance and purchase tickets to shoot any of the above disciplines. You will be given a visitors high vis jacket and info on the different ranges.
This Club has a proud safety record and it is one which we intend to continue. Please read the Safety page which can be accessed here.
