The 10 metre range

Particularly since the loss of centrefire and .22 pistol shooting, air pistol has become much more popular. This range allows up to 6 people to shoot either air pistol or air rifle at the same time, and, being indoor it is available at all times that the Club is open. All shooting is done from where the picture is taken and the targets are moved backwards and forwards using an electric controlled wire system. No one ever goes beyond the firing point.

The Club runs many internal competitions on this range and also competes in many of the Postal leagues run throughout the country.

The Club has many different types of .177 rifles and pistols which may be used on this range, (.22 weapons are not allowed) but there is a "one class" pistol used in many of the competitions. This is a 5 shot CO₂ powered pistol made by Aeron. This allows many of the old .22 pistol competitions to be shot again. The Club has for hire both left and right handed examples of this gun.
