Click on photo to get larger picture Not a great deal is yet known about the people in this photograph, but it is probably the first significant competition won by the Club which was only two years old at this stage. The man sitting on the left of the blackboard is John Warner who was the first Club Captain and an important figure in the Club until the 1930s. The Club still compete for the Jack Warner Trophy and the Mabel Warner Trophy in honour of his wife. This original of this picture can be seen at the Club. The quality of this reproduction is governed by the need to be able to download reasonably speedily. |
