History

The Sudeley Trophy was made by Lord Sudeley himself and bears his silvermark of CHT (Charles Hanbury Tracy). During his many years as President, he provided many Trophies to the Club. This and the "Houseboat" are still shot for, but there are some which need to be found that he provided for Billiards and Tennis Competitions.

In 1919, the earliest Annual Report to give details, the Course of Fire was a handicap with 3 targets of 10 shots at 25 and 50 yards, the best two at each distance to count.

In the 1936 Season it was one of th efour Trophies transferred to pistol competition, with a Course of fire of 6 NRA targets of 6 shots each at 20 yards.

The gap from 1950 to 1974 is probably dueto a missing plaque on the box rather than it not being competed for. Investigations are being made into finding out about this time period.
