History

The Johnson appears in the 1917 Report which was the first to describe the Trophies and their Winners. It is a rapid fire competition (for a long time the only one). The course of Fire was at 25 yards on 3 SMRC Time Limit targets (unlimited entries), scratch, later on the best 2 of the 3 targets counted. The prize money was a percentage of the entrance money. (1st - 50%, 2nd - 30% and 3rd - 20%). The Prize was a picture.

No sign of the competition after 1927
